Bubry, in Breton Bubri
With a surface area of 6 907 hectares and 2 429 inhabitants, the village of Bubry is located 35 km to the north-east of Lorient. It is located on a plateau culminating in the village of Kerantalm, at an altitude of 177 m. The village is mainly located in the catchment basin of the river Blavet, except for its north-western edge which lies towards the Scorff.
There are some quite large rivers: the Sarre, the Brandifrout and the Sébrevet. The Sant Ewan Bubri Bagad (traditional Breton music ensemble) plays in the 2nd category of the national bagadou championships. There are plenty of sunken wooded paths through the commune where you will discover charming stone houses. Walks vary from 5 to 30 km, and there are two marked circuits for mountain bikes.
